Choose the right starting point for your project.

Overview​

LibreApps Desktop provides two primary template kits to cater to different project needs: the Full-Kit and the Starter-Kit.

Full-Kit​

The Full-Kit is a feature-rich, comprehensive dashboard template. It includes all the advanced features, pre-built pages, and complex components.

  • Best for: Large-scale enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, and projects requiring a wide range of pre-built functionality.
  • Location: build/web/full-kit/
  • Key Features:
    • Multiple dashboard layouts (Analytics, CRM, eCommerce).
    • Full suite of application pages (Email, Chat, Calendar, Kanban).
    • Advanced charts and data tables.
    • Complete AI integration examples.

Starter-Kit​

The Starter-Kit is a minimal, lightweight version of the dashboard. It provides the essential structure and core components without the extra bloat.

  • Best for: New projects where you want to build from the ground up, simple internal tools, and performance-critical applications.
  • Location: build/web/starter-kit/
  • Key Features:
    • Basic sidebar and horizontal layouts.
    • Core UI components (buttons, inputs, cards).
    • Essential authentication setup.
    • Clean slate for custom development.

Best Practices​

  • ✅ Do this: Start with the Full-Kit if you want to see everything LibreApps Desktop is capable of.
  • ✅ Do this: Use the Starter-Kit for production applications where you want to maintain a minimal dependency footprint.
  • ❌ Don't do this: Try to convert the Full-Kit into a minimal app by deleting files manually; use the Starter-Kit instead.
